Booking an Appointment

How to get advice and make an appointment

Except for very urgent cases you should try and make an appointment in advance so that you can see the doctor or nurse of your choice. It helps continuity of care, especially with chronic conditions, if you try and see the same person.

Please call our reception, come in, or use our new online appointment booking service. A standard appointment is ten minutes. Bear in mind that there is a limit as to how many problems the doctor can cover adequately in that time. If you do not have an appointment and need to be seen urgently you will be adviced to visit the urgent care unit or walkin clinics closer to you.

Patient Access

You can use our online appointment booking service if you are signed up with a username and password (available from reception). Please come to the surgery and speak to any member of staff on how to register and have access to online.

It is most important you let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to keep your appointment so the staff can offer it to another patient. It is now possible to order repeat medication on the internet (hornseyparksurgery@nhs.net).

Additionally, www.patient.co.uk provides information on a variety of medical conditions and self help groups.

The aim of our system is for patients to get advice and treatment from the most appropriate health professional as quickly as possible.
