What is Patient Access?

With Patient Access, you can now view, book and cancel appointments at your local GP surgery from home, work or on the move — wherever you can connect to the internet. What is more, because Patient Access is a 24 hour online service you can do this in your own time, day or night.

Plus, Patient Access is not just for booking GP appointments, you can also:

  • Order repeat prescriptions.
  • Change your address details.
  • Send secure messages to your practice.

click www.patient.co.uk. You will need a registration letter with an access code. Please contact the surgery if you don't have your access code. 



Please note: your local practice may not offer every Patient Access feature. Ask at your surgery to find out which are available to you.


Is my information secure?

All information sent to your surgery via Patient Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Your papers and electronice notes are securely held at the suregry.


Please note, other NHS staff involved in your care/ treament may be allowed access to your notes. All NHS staff are bound by a code of confidenciality.


Under the Data protection Act 1984, you have the right to see your medical records. For further details and charges, please contact the surgery. Please note that you will need to give us a written request.
